People are on the edge of their seats in a tense theatre as they watch their beloved hero SRK be battered to the ground by Russian hulks. A familiar checkered kaftan falls from the train ceiling just as he is going to be stabbed. It’s Dipika, RAW, the military, Afghanistan, but it’s really India ki shaan… Bhaijaan.

The crowd is whistling and some are even yelling his name as Salman appears as Tiger, sending a rush of adrenaline through their veins. For the first time, Yash Raj Films is attempting to incorporate its characters into the YRF Spy Universe that the company is advertising. Most of us come out of the theatre with an advance booking in mind for the upcoming Tiger movie slotted for end of 2023. Ek Tha Tiger : 2012

Salman Khan’s debut film for the prestigious Yashraj Films label will be Kabir Khan’s (New York, Kabul Express) Ek Tha Tiger. Aditya Chopra, who is also the movie’s producer, wrote The Ek Tha Tiger Story.

Ek Tha Tiger, which also stars Katrina Kaif, marks Salman’s first romantic thriller in a very long time. It portrays the tale of a scientist from Trinity College who is allegedly selling Pakistani missile technical secrets. Salman Khan plays the title role as Tiger, a secret spy sent by the Indian government to learn more about the professor’s activities.

Tiger develops feelings for Zoya, the professor’s assistant played by Katrina Kaif, who attends a made-up dance academy at TCD. They set out on an exhilarating voyage together that takes them from Dublin to Istanbul, Kazakhstan, and Chile. Fall in love and eventually run away into hiding from their employees Raw of India and ISI of Pakistan. The movie was a Blockbuster and first 200 cr movie for Salman who did not look back after it.

Tiger Zinda Hai : 2017

A 2017 Indian Hindi-language spy action-thriller film with the working title Tiger Zinda Hai (transl. Tiger Is Alive), written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar from a screenplay by Zafar and Neelesh Misra, and produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. The movie serves as both the Ek Tha Tiger (2012) prequel as well as the second entry in the Tiger franchise and the YRF Spy Universe. Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Angad Bedi, Sajjad Delafrooz, Kumud Mishra, Nawab Shah, Ivan Rodrigues, Girish Karnad, and Paresh Rawal all reprise their roles from the previous film in this one.  Avinash “Tiger” Singh Rathore (Khan) and Zoya Humaini-Rathore (Kaif) had to emerge from hiding in Tiger Zinda Hai in order to save captives being held by a violent terrorist group in Iraq.

After Ek Tha Tiger was a success, there was talk of making a sequel, but Kabir Khan, who wrote and directed the first movie, declined to do so. Zafar was eventually brought on to write and direct the sequel, and the plot is based on the 2014 kidnapping of Indian nurses by ISIL. Pre-production for the movie started in 2016, and filming was finished in 2017 at locales such as Abu Dhabi, Austria, Greece, and Morocco. At the time of its release, it was one of the most costly Hindi films ever filmed, with a budget of 150 crore (US$23.03 million).

On December 22, 2017, Yash Raj Films released the motion picture Tiger Zinda Hai in theatres all over the world. The action scenes and cast performances earned largely favourable reviews from critics. Similar to its predecessor, it broke a number of box office records while it was playing in theatres. It ended up earning over 565.1 crore (US$86.78 million) globally and ranking as the 13th highest-grossing Indian movie. With 114 crore (US$17.51 million), it also set the record for the biggest opening weekend for a Hindi-language movie.

Tiger Ayega : 2023

Fans Cannot wait now to see the Third part of the Tiger franchise. Slotted to be named Tiger Ayega the movie has already generated buzz with Salman’s cameo in Pathaan and open invitation to Pathaan to Join him for his next mission. The teaser released by YRF also shows Katrina working hard for her role as Zoya. Fingers crossed, will Tiger take salman into the very exclusive 1000 Cr Club and shatter all records. Only time can tell, but fans are eagerly waiting for this movie and no movie has been able to create such a big buzz ever in Bollywood.
